Transcriptional and mutational profiling of an aminoglycoside resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa small colony variant

Michal Koska

Key message

We uncovered combinatorial influences of two-component systems in Pseudomonas aeruginosa on clinically relevant phenotypes such as resistance and the expression of the SCV phenotype.

Translational perspective

Identifying molecular mechanisms of antibiotic resistance is the basis for the development of molecular diagnostic tools that reliably predict antibiotic resistance and thus contribute to the successful treatment of pathogens.
