Translation

Translation - in the sense of TWINCORE - is living infection research, which is composed of many individual projects with the focus on infectious diseases which are relevant for humans. These projects are directly related to new diagnostic methods and combine therapies and basic research with clinical problems. They range from cell culture experiments, the training of researchers and translational investigators to Pharma Consulting - with the aim to bring together science and patient. In the German infection research this translational model is unique. It demonstrates how the cooperation between partners of variety disciplines can work  - and how such cooperations extend the research horizon. The dovetailed cooperation with clinical scientists allows to do research close to humans and their infectiological problems: with samples from patients, who are clinicaly treated. In short words: we are doing translational infection research.

TWINCORE - office of the Translational Alliance in Lower Saxony TRAIN

TWINCORE houses the office of the Translational Alliance in Lower Saxony, which gathers the translational acitivities of the region Hannover-Braunschweig. TRAIN - a steady developing and rising consortium - offers qualification by the TRAIN Academy and provides technological platforms for translational research.
