Frauke Lange completed her biology studies at the Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz University Hannover in 2018 and then transferred to Hannover Medical School to pursue a master's degree in biomedicine. For her master's thesis, which she wrote at the Institute of Experimental Virology, she focused on the interferon (IFN)-dependent innate immune response to hepatitis D virus (HDV) in stem cell-derived hepatocytes. Building on her Master project, she continued her doctoral studies in 2022, which focuses on the IFN-independent control of HDV infection in the same cell model.
