Key message
We show that human CD302 inhibits HCV infection and might contribute to broader antiviral defenses in the human liver.
Translational perspective
Our results provide a deeper understanding of the relevance of a cell-expressed, C-type lectin-like domain containing protein in the host response to viruses and its potential function in the liver.
