Key message
We describe the conduct of a study about influenza vaccination among elderly individuals, the collected biosamples, as well as the planned analyses. The study participants were highly motivated leading to a complete data- and biomaterialset.
Translational perspective
The primary aim of the study is to identify biomarkers (molecules in blood) that can predict a poor response to influenza vaccination even before vaccination. This will help to develop a highly efficacious vaccine.
