Elmira Aliabadi finished her bachelor’s degree in biology at Shahid Beheshti University in Tehran, Iran. She then moved to Germany where she attended the University of Göttingen to earn her master’s degree in molecular medicine. After discovering her interest in immunology, during an internship in Tübingen, she decided to move to Hannover for her PhD. In 2021, she received her PhD degree from the Hannover Medical School and subsequently joined the group of Dr. Patrick Behrendt at TWINCORE as a postdoctoral researcher to work on a vaccination project against hepatitis E virus.
