Vanessa Milke completed her bachelor’s degree in biosciences at the University of Osnabrück in 2018 and then transferred to the Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz University in Hannover for her studies in molecular microbiology. She then completed her master’s thesis in the Institute for Experimental Virology at TWINCORE in 2021, where she focused on the evaluation of combinatorial genome editing strategies using the CRISPR/Cpf1 system. Since then, Vanessa Milke is a PhD student in the Institute of Experimental Virology and is currently working on the identification and characterization of host factors required for respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) infection.
