PhD student

Nicolai Böker completed his bachelor's degree in business informatics at Hanover University of Applied Sciences and Arts in 2016. He then worked in the private sector as a software developer before transferring to the TU Braunschweig in 2018 for his master's degree in business informatics. He completed his master's thesis in 2021 at the Peter L. Reichertz Institute in the field of medical informatics. There, using deep learning models, he dealt with the fusion of biophysiological signals recorded in the vehicle simulator by means of sensors. Since June of the same year, Nicolai Böker is a PhD student in Computational Virology and researches in the field of machine learning and bioinformatics. Here, he is using protein structure-based deep learning methods for the discovery of novel viruses.
